*FOOTBALL GAMEPLAY RULES UPDATE* - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY (7/18)

Updates have been made to Compete4ever's football gameplay rules. These updates are effective immediately, as of Monday, July 18th, 2011.

Below are the current featured updates in Compete4ever's football gameplay rules:


ROSTERS ...

ROSTERS: The latest updated rosters are required for online play. These rosters must be used for all games in play-now leagues. For NCAA Football, named rosters may be used in C4 competitions; even though the servers prevent you from playing games with modified attributes, they will let you play with rosters that just have player names updated. Any member found attempting to use the Named Rosters aspect of the game to cheat in C4 competitions risks being removed from C4 competitions and suspended from C4 competitions indefinitely.


PLAYBOOKS ...

PLAYBOOKS: Players may choose any offensive and defensive playbook. Custom playbooks may be used, but the use of created plays is strictly prohibited in league and tournament play. Use of created playbooks is at your own risk; there have been in-game issues related to their use that have caused delay of game, false start, and encroachment penalties, along with plays totally disappearing from the playcall screen. Your opponent is not obligated to decline those penalties, or restart/continue the game at another time. In order to avoid these types of situations, you should use regular playbooks instead. Any member found attempting to use the Custom Playbook aspect of the game to cheat in C4 competitions risks being removed from C4 competitions and suspended from C4 competitions indefinitely.


CLOCK-MILKING GUIDELINES ...

In legueplay You may NOT milk the clock until 2 minutes left in the 2nd & 4th quarters. Milking outside of this time span may result in forfeiting the game. For NCAA Football leagueplay, you man NOT use the "Conservative Tempo" clock management feature until 2 minutes left in the 2nd & 4th quarters. NOTE: This rule does not apply for C4 Football tournament and ladder competitions.


PUNT/FIELD GOAL/EXTRA POINT BLOCKING GLITCHES BANNED ...

No manual punt/field goal/extra point blocking; this also means you cannot move any player in ANY direction while your opponent is attempting a punt/field goal/extra point.


ONSIDE KICKS ...

Onside kicks may not be attempted unless you are:
*Down by 28 or more points in the 1st Quarter,
*Down by 21 or more points in the 2nd Quarter,
*Down by 14 or more points in the 3rd Quarter,
*DOwn by ANY AMOUNT of points in the 4th quarter,
First time voilators of this rule that recover the ball from an illegal onside kick attempt will automatically forefeit/receive a loss for the game in question. In leagueplay, second time violators of this rule will be demoted or removed from the league where the violatoions took place.
