FORWARD PROGRESS MADDEN #12: 4-3 OVER PLUS – COVER 1 (DEFENSE)
Hello football fans, welcome back to another edition of Forward Progress.
In the video above I’m showing how to generate gap integrity from the 4-3 Over Plus formation. This run defense is best utilized against pro sets (2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE), but works against nearly every running threat. Add this to your Madden defensive arsenal to stop 3-headed rushing attacks from any formation!
Here’s how to set up this run defense:
PLAY: 4-3 Over Plus – Cover 1
STEP 1: Shift DL left
STEP 2: Reblitz RDT on screen (over the center)
STEP 3: Place RDE in buzz zone to neutralize TE slant outs
STEP 4: Move LOLB and MLB to right a step or two
STEP 5: User FS in a spy assignment
