PUT THE “SPORTS” INTO eSPORTS!
One of the next steps in the evolution of eSports has to be sustained development and growth of competitive Sports Gaming.
With the 10th anniversay of the EA Sports Madden Challenge upon us, and the Virgin Gaming EA Sports Madden Challenge Vegas Live Finals Event coming up next weekend; seeing this video from PBS named “The Rise of Competitive Gaming & E-Sports” was very thought provoking.
It’s a shame competitive sports gaming didn’t get any type of mention in this video. Is it because it’s being ignored, not big enough, or both? Either way; something has to change here.
